Pisces Tide
from a journal
I'm riding the moon's pull again, Heat and salt in my skin, Words tangled, breath thin, Keeping the world at a distance. I've mapped it twice now— this turning, this ache, the ocean rising in my chest, even the seals can't sleep. I'm learning to listen instead of fight. The tide knows what it's doing. I'm learning to listen— the moon, my body, the waves, they're all saying the same thing: let it move through you, let it move through.
