Most audiobooks never get made, and it is almost always the same two reasons: a narrator costs more than the book will earn, and a seven-year exclusive is a lot to sign before you know how it sells. Here is what each platform takes, what it gives, and where it is the right answer.
We are not a store. ACX, Spotify and the retail platforms are where audiobook buying actually happens, and we do not put you there. We do not compete for distribution. We remove the two things that stop most audiobooks existing at all: the narration bill and the exclusivity decision.
We narrate with AI, in your own cloned voice. That is the tradeoff, said up front rather than discovered later: it is not a professional human narrator, and for some books that matters more than the money it saves. Unless you sign an exclusive deal, making it here and distributing there are not mutually exclusive.
